Annapurna Circuit offers the variety of scenery of both northern and southern Himalayan. Since the road have been built along many of the section of the trail still follows the full route and use original trail to avoid jeep tracks that have been build in recent year. The spectacular walks bring you through lush green valleys and charming villages, with glorious view of snow chopped Himalayas as backdrop. This circuit follows the classical trail with an extension to visit Tatopaani and Ghorepani via Kali Gandaki: the world deepest gorge. The visitor also gets opportunity to explore the Gurung village as well as home land of Manangi’s people. The region is rich in various culture, tradition and their religious practices where low land Hindus and High land Buddhist inhabitants.  The dizzying heights of Thorang La pass then plunge back down into the busy pilgrimage and trade route that is still controlled by Thakalis and Mustang tribes are the most adorable things in whole trip. The trekkers will encounter several mountains those are Annapurna ii & iii, Macchapuchre, Varahashikhar and Khansar Kang.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1350 m), Drive transfer to hotel

A warm welcome to Nepal. Greetings from Yak and Yarsa Trekkers. Our representative will be waiting in the airport displaying your name to pick you from there and take you to the booked hotel. Overnight in hotel at Kathmandu.

Day 02 Free day at Kathmandu

Day 3 Kathmandu to Besisahar by drive then Besisahar to Jagat local jeep (760 m) 9-10 hours

After early-morning breakfast, our guide will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the bus station. Drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar, takes about eight hours. Jagat is first camp of our trekking. It is a small village located just above Marshyangdi river.

Day 4 Jagat to Bagarchap (1300 m) 7-8 hours

Bagarchap marks a change in a trekking route direction towards west into cooler climates. A village situated nearby road, my offer you first glance of mountains during the trip.

Day 5 Bagarchap to Chame (2670 m) 5-6 hours

Chame is the regional administrative headquarter of Manang district. It offers you mixed forest of pine, oak, maple, walnuts and rhododendron on the wide track with glorious and unabated views east with the spectacular sunset. On the way to Chame, we will encounter first view of Mount Manaslu.

Day 6 Chame to Pisang (3200 m) 4-5 hours

Popularly known as “Nyesyang”, this region lays in the Himalayan rain shadow on the geographic fringes of the Tibetan Plateaus. A desert like landscape unfolds with the far fewer trees. Staying is lower Pisang for the day and at evening we will do our first acclimatize walk towards upper Pisang with closest view of Annapurna II and Ringsum Gompa.

Day 7 Pisang to Manang (3540 m) 5-6 hours

Manang is small growing town of Manang District of Nepal. It is situated in the board valley of Marshyangdi River to the north of Annapurna Mountain Range. It is also last largest inhabitants before crossing Thorang La.

Day 8 Acclimatization day at Manang

Acclimatization walk to Khangsar View point where we spend some hours and try to enjoy the view of Mount Annapurna II, IV, III, Gangapurna and Tilicho Peak. At the evening we can attend altitude classes which are provided by Local Organization. 

Day 9 Manang to Yak Kharka. (4050 m) 4-5 hours

Trinity of Yaks close to the village of yak kharka confirms the correctness if its name. Kharka is very common Nepali typical name that can be translated as ‘MEADOW”. There are a lots of yak kharka in Nepal but there is only one in Manang. At the evening we can acclimatize walk to Leder.

Day 10 Yak kharka to Thorang Phedi (4525 m) 4-5 hours

In a Nepali Language Phedi means “Bottom of The Hill” so Thorang Phedi is lies at bottom of Thorang La Pass. It will take 5 hours of walk to reach Thorang Phedi from Yak Kharka. On the way to Phedi via Goonsang, we will have chance to see Blue Sheep which is one the rear mammal. In the evening, we will do acclimatize walk towards high camp.

Day 11 Thorang Phedi to Muktinath via Thorang la (3760 m/5416 m) 8-9 hours

Thorang la  is a mountain pass with an elevation of 5416mtrs above sea level in the Domodar Himal, north of Annapurna Himal and in central of Nepal. The pass is located on a trail which connects the village of Manang in the Manang district to the East, with the Temple of Muktinath and the nearby village of Rani Pauwa in the Mustang District. Today we begin our day early morning 3 am after having breakfast and slowly move towards High Camp. It is the toughest day of whole trip. After High Camp, it will take 3 hours to reach Thorang La. It will take 3 hours to our next camp Muktinath.

Day 12 Muktinath to Tatopani via Jomsom (1140 m/2720 m) 5-6 hours

Tatopani is Village Municipality in Myagdi District. It is very famous natural hot spring where every year large number of Nepalese and tourist visit for Healing and fun after a long trip.

Day 13 Tatopani to Sikha (1935 m) 5-6 hours

Sikha is a small village situated in the heart of Myagdi rich in Magar culture and Traditions. Your trail passes through flat level of the land at some distance. Then the trail begins ascending steeply for at least one hour. Now path goes up through different villages inhabited by the people of different caste and agricultural land.

Day 14 Sikha to Ghorepani (2880 m) 4-5 hours

The main attraction of Ghorepani is the view at the Poon hill on nearby mountains like Annapurna, Annapurna South and the Fishtail. Ghorepani has its meaning Ghore means Horse and Water means Paani.

Day 15 Ghorepani to Pokhara via Nayapool 7-8 hours

After morning excursion to Poonhill, today we walk towards nayapool. Nayapool is known as Gateway of Annapurna and the Ending point of Annapurna Circuit. After reaching Nayapool, we will drive back to Pokhara.

Day 16: Drive Pokhara / Kathmandu (1350 m) – 6 -7hrs

After breakfast, today we drive back to the capital city Kathmandu. You’ll have some time to explore the market of Kathmandu on your own. Nature Trail will provide you the farewell dinner in a hotel. Overnight in hotel at Kathmandu.

Day 17: Departure transfer to international airport

Relying on your flight schedule Yak and Yarsa Trekkers representative will pick you up from your hotel and drop you to the international airport for your departure. Have a nice flight.
